Now in our seventh year, Wallace Tutors is an elite team of experienced tutors curated to meet the needs of top prep school and college students. Our approach is unique. We recognize that education today is marred by hyper-competitiveness. Teachers inundate students with homework and top colleges insist on excellent grades—but the value of actual learning is obscured. It’s something talked about at convocation and graduation, but too rarely integrated into the day-to-day grind of making the grade.

Education should be about learning who we are, where we’ve come from, and how we fit into a dynamic world.

We see tutoring as a context for mentorship. We know, first hand, that the quality of the tutor-student relationship is paramount; we believe that our shared objective is not only the grade. We enrich students’ lives by providing perspective, advice, doses of reality, insights from the professional world, even friendship. We are trusted guides on an academic journey we ourselves have taken, and we endeavor to give advice many of us wish we had received.
